One of our newest additions to the Studio Movement class schedule is "Yogilates", a yoga-pilates fusion designed to be a low-impact, muscular strength and flexibility work to help improve core strength, muscular balance, and improve postural alignment.
While pilates is a whole-body practice, it is heavily core-focused (abdominals, spinals, muscles of the shoulder blades and hips). The class will integrate yoga postures and stretches to leave you feeling rejuvenated! The class will use a variety of bodyweight, light-weight and banded exercises to improve core function and spinal stabilization.

This class is taught by the one and only Sadie who offers a unique and extensive knowledge of the body's systems and functions (Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine) as well as years of training in yoga and pilates instruction.
Her experience and instruction will ensure you get the most out of your work out while respecting your body's unique movement requirements.
All levels welcome and encouraged, and no yoga or pilates experience is required.
