Studio-Movement-Sadie_edited.jpg

Hi there! I'm Sadie and I began personal training in 2007, after graduating from University of Guelph Honours Biological Science. By 2009, I had found my home in the group fitness world starting with Pilates, then adding TRX, yoga (vinyasa, yin, trauma-sensitive training), most recently, I've been adding ELDOA training! Throughout my fitness journey I also completed a 5 year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine degree and currently practice as a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner here in Guelph.

I am really looking forward to meeting you all!

Lori has been helping people embrace an active and healthy lifestyle since 2017. She works with clients one on one, and with small and larger groups, instructing fitness classes through strength and circuit training, HIIT, Pound (licenced Pound Pro since 2019), and stretching/restorative based formats.

She believes movement should be fun and always brings energy and enthusiasm into every session!

Outside of fitness, Lori also supports people with nutrition as a Certified Holistic Nutritionist (since 2020). Free of labels, diets and restrictive programs she will guide you in finding ‘your way of eating’.

Lori is a strong leader and loves to teach others. Serving others is her passion! In 2017 she founded her business Fun Fearless Females, which empowers women of all abilities to lead happy, healthy lives - specializing in recreational, fitness, nutrition and life skills support for those with developmental disabilities"

Pilates Instructor

Gillian she/her

Gillian.jpeg

My journey into Pilates began in 2000. I had suffered a back injury and after months of unsuccessful treatments, a friend recommended trying Pilates (it was the new buzzword in the fitness industry!). After the first class, I felt immensely better. The focus of breath to movement, of core activation, strength and mobility, I embraced wholeheartedly. In 2002 I went the next step, trained and received my Stott Pilates mat certification level 1 & 2.

I have continued to embrace other Pilates modalities plus receiving my Functional Anatomy certification through Living Yoga & Health in 2007. In May 2019 I completed my yoga certification of 200 hours through Maha Pura yoga studio. I look forward to welcoming you to the mat.

Yoga & Pilates Instructor

Dionne she/her

Dione-Studio-Movement.jpeg

After many years of practicing yoga, I finally took the leap and become a certified Yoga Teacher – subsequently changing my world forever!  My passion for playing sports, especially soccer, kept me coming back to yoga to balance my body.  After a “lifetime” of the corporate grind, and using Yoga to help balance my mind, I finally made the decision to leave the 9 to 5 grind and the GTA behind, moving to Guelph, where I began teaching yoga full time.  Since joining the Guelph community I have added Pilates training to my repertoire, from Body Harmonics at Pilates in Guelph.  This has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of functional movement, biomechanics and proper alignment for all the various and diverse body types I see on a daily basis.  Every training, workshop and certification has helped me become a better teacher in both disciplines and in every class I teach.

I am a certified Yoga and Pilates teacher, as well as being certified in Aerial Yoga, Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga, Yin, Barre, Pilates Oov, and myofascial release. I have taken a great interest in using Yoga and Pilates to help students counteract the effects of a sedentary lifestyle.  This led me to the study and teaching of Yin and fascial release yoga classes, allowing me to work with athletes young and “seasoned”, in both team and individual sports.

When I’m not teaching I’m usually spending time with my family or hiking with my two dogs on the trails surrounding the city! As a teacher, it’s important to me to continue to learn, to inspire and be inspired by the clients in my classes.

Pilates Instructor

Shannon she/her

StudioMovement-Guelph-Shannon.jpeg

Shannon is a Registered Physiotherapist practicing locally in Guelph. She began teaching clinical pilates in 2011 after completing her training through STOTT Pilates in mat and reformer. After 10 years of treating orthopedic concerns and sports injuries, she transitioned into pelvic health physiotherapy with a special interest in perinatal training and recovery, and post-partum return to sport/activity. She is a Certified Pre- and Post-natal Coach through Girls Gone Strong. Shannon is most passionate about helping people achieve their fitness goals without pelvic floor symptoms.

Shannon grew up dancing in Guelph and still has a soft spot for dance-related strength, endurance, and balance training.

Outside of the studio, Shannon enjoys lazy days with her kids, exploring the city and finding the best coffee spots in town.

Cycle & Yoga Instructor

Nicole she/her

Nicole.jpeg

Despite being a fitness trainer, I am a mental health clinician and activist in the community. Before becoming a fitness "motivationalist", I found myself disconnected from my body and seemed to always be healing from some form of chronic pain that manifested throughout the various experiences endured in my life, at that time.

Today, I believe that this relationship with my body, this relationship to movement and music has relinquished my confidence, inner strength and passion in life. It humbles me to bring this reclamation and reconnection to people in everyBODY, everywhere.

Yoga Instructor

Dr. Kirstie she/her

Studio-Movement-Kristie.jpeg

Dr. Kirstie Griffiths is a Canadian Chiropractor, Yoga Teacher, and Best-Selling Author practicing in Guelph, Ontario.

Her passion is in helping people overcome pain using a mind-body approach that integrates chiropractic and yoga.  Her mission is in bridging the gap between healthcare providers prescribing yoga for pain, and people being able to access yoga in a way that is safe, therapeutic, and effective for pain management.  She is the founder of “Yoga for Back Pain,” a clinical program that combines Education, Movement, and Meditation specifically designed for people living with pain.

Yoga Instructor

Nicole W. she/her

Studio-Movement-Nicole.jpeg

Nicole studied dance with the National Ballet of Canada and the SanFrancisco Ballet before becoming a Yoga Instructor. She has over 20 years of experience in the movement field including a 300 hour CYA Yoga Teacher Training Certification from Breathe Yoga Studio in Toronto.  Nicole has also studied intensively with the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres in Val Morin and New York.  She has also done additional workshops in the styles of Kripalu, Bikram and Jivamukti. Nicole loves the ever-expanding exploration Yoga provides for teacher and student. She seeks to offer a nourishing and engaging Hatha-based class that is a blend of breathe, movement and relaxation. Bliss!
